Fish Fry 2023

This year’s Fish Fry we were able to go back to sit down seating, takeout and delivery. As we were expecting a snowstorm, some of the prep work had to be moved up from Wednesday to Tuesday and hope the snowing stops on Thursday night so we can serve fish on Friday.  It takes a lot of prep work prior to the event.  We had a crew to pack the dinnerware, condiments, butter, sour cream and buns in baggies for hand out.

On Tuesday, we pulled in the fish fry trailer and put together our fry shack as well.  Then we moved in and hooked up the fryers in the shack.

The front corner of the building is our staging and take out area.  They are scheduling the delivery orders and then putting together the delivery and take outs.

We had a greeting table as they came in the door with Knights of Columbus Information.  They started coming in at 10:30, an hour ahead of the start time.

Here are the guys hard at work preparing and deep frying the fish in the shack.

And also in the Fish Fry Trailer.

By all accounts, it appears to have been another great fish fry this year!  We ordered over 2300#s of fish and used most of that.  There were approximately 155 people who helped with this major fund raiser for our council that put in over 450 hours of volunteer help.  We served approximately 934 dine ins, 778 take outs, and 397 Deliveries.
